The Hobbit, 3D

I Took, ( no pun intended ;-) ) Isla to see The Hobbit in 3D tonight and we had none of the headache issues which seem to have been reported about the film. Some, in fact most of the scenes were pretty stunning and Peter Jackson's in depth working of the story was second to none.


It's 30 odd years on since I read the book but Mr. Jackson seems to have worked his Middle Earth Magic yet again.

Trying to explain the full Hobbit / Lord of the Rings story without giving away too much to Isla about how it all began, in only a half hour journey home was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. Having a wee girl, just about to turn 10, so interested in a tome of such outstanding influence, written over half a century ago, that I read when I was just older than she is now was ......... Well, I'm lost for words.

An outstanding film !!!!

New Zealand may have some fantastic fishing but Mr. Jackson's production of  films in the country has given me a memory I will cherish for a very long time !
