News reports seem to be a bit skeptical about Jose Salvador Alverenga's claims he was castaway for 13 months in a small boat after being swept out to sea from El Salvador in November 2012 and being washed up on the Marshall Islands on 30th January last week. Jose says he had to watch his friend die and live off of fish and turtles to survive during his 13 month ordeal.
Videos and pictures now emerging seem to make it look as though Jose has been eating a wee bit more than the odd shark and turtle for the last 13 months.
