Fisherman Missing after boat capsizes on Loch Etive !

The search for a fisherman who was missing after his party of five's boat overturned on Loch Etive on Saturday has now been called off but as far as I understand it will be resumed in the morning. Apparently the parties boat overturned and whereas four of the group were able to swim to shore, one is now missing. Loch Etive is one of Scotland's many deep sea lochs with steep sided mountains on each side.

There doesn't appear to be any further details available at the moment but this is another stark reminder of the danger's of Scotland's big loch's.

In another unrelated incident, four people, 2 fishermen and 2 walkers had a very lucky escape when their cut stern canoe capsized on loch Quoich. Luckily they were able to use the upturned vessel for floatation while swimming approximately 250 yds back to shore.
