The cost of living

I don't know if it is just me or not but I'm finding the cost of living hard to bear.

I noticed things slowing down maybe before a lot of other people did and before the recession hit because my work involves home improvements and those are one of the first things that are cut back on when times get tough. I think the first thing that signalled it for me was when I heard a girl I had done work for when she downsized her house had sold that house to move into rented accomodation. If I could see it happening, why couldn't the bankers, why couldn't the politicians ?

When are the politicians going to do something to earn their corn rather than line their pockets.
