Airgun Licensing

What do you think of the Scottish Governments Proposals to License airguns

when there is sufficient legislation to deal with airgun offences in Scotland ?

One of the things licensing will prohibit is " plinking " - target shooting on private property.

Is this another step towards the restrictions of our freedoms by the introduction of new legislation by the " Newly Formed " Scottish Government when extant legislation is more than ample.

Where will it stop - one way pavements and rod licenses ?

How will licensing prohibit target shooting??
If a license is required and you have a license, then you can plink away to your heart's content!!

  2. Would be better if you were to add your name anonymous but as far as I understand, " plinking " on private property, as we currently know it, will be one of the things which would become an offence under Air Weapon licensing scheme and if you were to be found to be doing this, you would be liable to prosecution and if found guilty, the loss of your license.
